Jeff RobertsParticipant
And before you ask me… all other clubs posting dates for Marina are in exactly the same position as we are. No one has signed any contracts yet because they have not been prepared or sent out. We don’t even know how much the rent will be for 2015, no one else does either.

Jeff RobertsParticipantThanks Andy, I fixed it.
Jeff RobertsParticipantWe’re moving away from the coal-powered mail services we have now to something more present-day. 🙂
Jeff RobertsParticipantMark, you’re sneaky! It’s true, we’re working on a small 50-driver event on Saturday 12/27 at Marina. For those keeping track, this is our 13th event of 2014!
I’m finalizing the details and will have reg open on Sunday 12/14 around noon.
Dave is going to pick HIS favorite course from the past and we’ll run that one, maybe with some slight tweaks to keep it fresh. I’m working with a local Mexican restaurant for burrito choices: steak, chicken, or veggie.
I’ll get the word out on Facebook and Twitter.
Jeff RobertsParticipantHuh? Where did you see this?
Jeff RobertsParticipantAre you the one who’s invited all the newbies? We have at least 12 new club members and 19 folks who have not been out with our club for any driving events yet.
Since it’s a fun run event we won’t be screwing around with reruns or timing problems, so we should be able to get more runs in anyway. I’m hoping everyone gets there bright and early, we have a short and sweet meeting, cars grid quickly, and the course walk is driving speed. Maybe we’ll get the first car out at 9:30.
Can’t wait! Tho the plan was to get wet, looks like this weather is going to be outta here by the weekend and we’ll have a nice day.
Jeff RobertsParticipantHi Guys –
Sorry it took me a while to chime in. I’m not a fan of this forum function as it only lets me know when a thread was started, not when updated so I didn’t realize there was more action.Tony, I talked with Matt about the X1 and we are going to add it to the system for next season. It’s basically a tall station wagon, not really an SUV/SAV like an X5 or X3.
I can’t guess when that will happen, but sometime before the end of the year. Also unsure of the class it will be in until we run the specs thru our program and determine the base points.
If it matters enough to make you decide on buying one or not, let us know and maybe we can guestimate by comparing to other vehicle with similar weight and hp rating. I know there’s way more to the calculation than that though.

Jeff RobertsParticipantYou’re right Brad, it was a pirouette. 🙂
Great pics, Ratko! Thank you so much for shooting for us.
Jeff RobertsParticipantJeff RobertsParticipantMy pics from yesterday. Wow… been quite a while since we’ve had a rainy day for a GGC Autocross.
Brad, there’s a sequence of your spin in there somewhere.
Jeff RobertsParticipantYes it is! We don’t cancel due to weather.
Come prepared for the possibility of morning rain… the weather reports are showing clearing and sunshine starting mid/late morning.
Race on!
Jeff RobertsParticipantMake sure you update your classification.
Jeff RobertsParticipantIt’s a loosely enforced rule and I have not seen a need to make a stink about it. None of the on-site folks have either. The language was passed down from the previous team. I’ve seen it elsewhere too.
That said, I don’t want to see 50 bikes at TDS next month. 🙂
Jeff RobertsParticipantWe sold out 2013 in 19 hours. 9 spots left still. Might be time for a tweet! 🙂
Jeff RobertsParticipantHi Tony –
Unfortunately, the rules are no passengers at all. I understand your reasoning, but this is how this event runs.Invites are going out shortly, for those chomping at the bit to load your browser with the registration page in time for Sunday night.
