Jeff RobertsParticipantDon, you should write an article for the Bombe or Roundel… perhaps yours is the first in the US to be autocrossed. If you’re interested I can give you some guidance on the process. It’s quite easy, especially for the Bombe.
We ran in the same group and I didn’t get to take a ride along with you. Next month!

Jeff RobertsParticipantWe’ll see how this goes at the first event… I want to try to make it work for us. The chevron is pretty nice for making sure people run in the same order, giving people a place to leave their “stuff”, and eliminates the need for everyone to inch forward thru the whole run group – eliminating a lot of engine starting/stopping or idling.
I’ve been thinking about it too. Normally the chevron would look like this…

Pre-grid would send 2’s and all to the right, then 2’s and all to the left. We can indicate the 2-driver cars with blue tape on the fender or headlight or something like that.
Open to suggestions and will think on it more between now and Saturday. If it ends up being a fuster cluck, we can always go back to the old way.

We want to use the bump-out as the primary paddock area and believe we can fit all the cars there. If we need to overflow, we will work it out.

Jeff RobertsParticipantWell, looks like we don’t have to worry about this now. I received an e-mail from the organizer that it has been postponed. Hopefully it will still happen at a later date. It was shaping up to be a very fun day.
Jeff RobertsParticipantNot to worry, I can get the rig there… I just can’t coach 100-200 people by myself. Tho that number is a guestimate until I hear back from the event planners about their projections.
