Jeff RobertsParticipant
Excellent, thank you! This will help me get my head back into this sport 🙂 Facinating how close you two were all the way to the exit of the course :-)
Didn’t I see a combined video of Hal and Praneil somewhere?
Jeff RobertsParticipantThat’s where I bought mine.
Jeff RobertsParticipantThis is it. 🙂
I’m 99% sure it’s in the trailer. Next time I’m down there I’ll snap a photo and send it to you.
Jeff RobertsParticipantDon’t they know who you are? Sheesh! 🙂
Jeff RobertsParticipantIt really just depends on how it feels to you. I adjusted mine to dial out understeer. Started full stiff in the rear, mid-way on the front and ended up going one notch stiffer on one side of the front for a balanced feel. I fine tune with shock valving since it’s easier to change that.
Too bad you didn’t have this done before TnT… the figure-8 is ideal for this kind of tuning.
Jeff RobertsParticipantClassification system documentation has been updated. The “Power tables” were out of date and have been replaced with the correct data. If you’re looking at the doc, you’ll see a revision statement on the title page with today’s date. If you do not see that, refresh your browser for the latest version.
Jeff RobertsParticipant
BTW, where’s the list showing point ranges per class? Could that be added to ‘About’?
Full documentation on the classification system is linked in the “2013 Autocross Season Policies & Procedures” thread
http://www.ggcbmwcca.org/autocross/2013-GGCAutocrossClassificationSystemDocumentation.pdf
There you can find the point range breakdowns.
To answer your other question, an exhaust mod is not 2 points. Your engine mods are only 1 point total. What you’re seeing is a +2% increase in HP estimate from the exhaust mod.

Great event and fun course, thanks to all who worked to make this event work out.
Mark
Thanks to you also Mark… you and all the coaches worked very hard yesterday and it showed. Everyone was looking great out there!
Great photos and videos too. Can’t thank all of you enough for all you do for us!
Jeff RobertsParticipant
can spectators be passengers? thanks
Yes, provided five conditions are met:
1) passenger is 18 or over, waiver signed (all will sign as they enter the gate)
2) Under 18, minor waiver signed, notarized AND 4′ 9″ tall or taller
3) they wear a properly installed Snell 2005 or newer helmet.
4) driver is an experienced autocrosser and/or has been signed off by coach or coordinator
5) each passenger has their own exit door – no rear-seat passengers in coupesJeff RobertsParticipantWe have a sold out crowd joining us on Sunday! Here is the course and site map.
If you want to be sure to have one for yourself, please print and bring with you.
Jeff RobertsParticipantMr Littlehale has been doing some testing with them.
Jeff RobertsParticipant
do practice events count as tds prereqs?
No. Our regular season starts on 4/20, so each event from then thru October will count towards TDS eligibility. Three or more of those events will qualify folks to compete for the Fechner Cup. One or more will qualify anyone to participate for fun only. Priority registration will be given to those competing for the Fechner Cup.
Jeff RobertsParticipantDo you have the one that came with the car? I have come up with a temporary solution using the OE plate holder, a block of dense packing foam, and some 3M Adhesive Putty.
http://www.amazon.com/Scotch-Adhesive-Putty-Removable-860/dp/B000AN7EW4
I keep it in the car and when I’m in SF and must park on the street, I’ll install it when I get near where I’m going to look for parking. You don’t want someone to see you do it so they won’t be tempted steal it. That said, I usually park in a private lot to avoid the BS.
The last time I got nabbed for it, I devised and tested this solution and drove to a local police station for sign-off. I had to park down the block and the officer, too lazy to go outside, said “is the plate on?” I said yes and she said “ok, i trust you…” and signed me off. The DMV can only sign you off if they were to blame… like you didn’t get your plates in time or something like that.
I’m sure you feel safer now, right?
