Jeff RobertsParticipant
Hi Everyone –
The rumors are true, but to what extent we are not yet certain. At this time there is no use permit for non-aviation activities at Marina granted to anyone. This means we play it by ear at Marina. The schedule above was our wish list and our wishes were not granted. The AX and CCC teams are working together to try to secure alternate locations and we will let everyone know when we get something concrete sorted out. There is also a thread on the GGC Facebook Group if you would like additional info.

If anyone has a really big back yard they’d like to let us pave over, you know where to reach me. 🙂

Jeff RobertsParticipantAttention All… a second round of invitations went out a bit ago. We still have spots available at TDS, so I’m opening it up to anyone who’s attended 2 or more events, BMW/Mini or X-Class cars, to drive for fun.
The rules state 3 or more events and BMW/MINI to compete, but please come join us for a very special event format, killer BBQ, and a really fun day to close out our season.
Those of you who don’t meet the requirement to compete will be able to drive the two qualifying sessions as fun runs, but won’t be able to move on to the final shootout round to compete for the trophy.

Jeff RobertsParticipantWorking on it, Don. Ryan will post to this thread when it’s open again. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Jeff RobertsParticipantThose BMW/Mini drivers who ran out of class because the state of your car, or the car you drove, was not as it was in the classification system as of Noon the Sunday before are not eligible to earn points and will be placed in N-class for this event.
If you classified a BMW/Mini and drove an X-class car, you’ll be assigned X-Class for this event.
If you classified an X-class car and drove a different X-class car, it’s all good…
I cannot stress enough how important it is to follow the instructions and make sure your classification is correct in the system BEFORE registration closes the Sunday before. Dealing with misclassifications (or no classification) is a major time suck for us every month. It only takes a minute of your time to do the right thing and save us the hassle of corrections and follow-up.
See “2019 Rules for Competition” section of this document if you have any questions about the above. These rules are posted before the season starts each year for your reading pleasure.

Jeff RobertsParticipantYup, sorry folks… I neglected to post on the Forum as well.
Jeff RobertsParticipantHi Hung –
We are not doing that one. I took it off the site event calendar some time ago, but I forgot to update the season dates post above. I took care of it.We will try for an event there next year!

Jeff RobertsParticipantJeff RobertsParticipantThat is a great photo!
Jeff RobertsParticipantNoted, Dave. 🙂
Jeff RobertsParticipantKinda, Dmitry… we’ve been slow catching up on new vehicles thanks to BMW offering 30 different variations of every model.
Let us know the model of your car, all the option packages, wheel option, transmission, suspension, all that and we will try to get it available for you. Worst case, just add it as an X-Class car now and give us some time.
Same goes for others who want to compete in a car they can’t find in the list. Compete is the primary word here… if you plan to be Non-Compete with a BMW or MINI that isn’t in the list, then you can just create a non-BMW classification – same difference to us.
Jeff RobertsParticipantRegistration for our next TWO events will open on Monday February 12th at noon:
Test & Tune: msreg.com/ggcAutox-030418
AX #1: msreg.com/ggcAutox-031118The classification system is open, with the caveat that some late model cars that include factory LSDs may require re-classification from last season. The team is working hard to get this change completed in the system. Any affected accounts will be notified via e-mail to reclassify.

Jeff RobertsParticipantSchedule has been updated to reflect final decisions… a date change for TnT was negotiated so we’d have a week before AX1.
Jeff RobertsParticipantRegistration for AX School and Fun Run opens on Monday at noon:
AX School: msreg.com/ggcAutox-021018
Fun Run: msreg.com/ggcAutox-021118After that, the regular rotation will begin… noon the Monday following the last event. For competition events, the process will change a little and we’re working on updates for all of that as we speak. The team had our annual meeting last weekend.
We’re excited to get 2018 underway!

Jeff RobertsParticipantHi Nick –
I think we have a cage in the trailer front storage compartment. When you arrive on Saturday, ask one of us to look for it.Jeff
