Mark MervichParticipant
Yes, a great TDS and congrats to Praneil and thanks for letting me drive your car. A very good season, too.
Still working on Pix.
MarkMark MervichParticipant45 people already signed up.
MarkMark MervichParticipant
Can we make photographer an official working position that people can volunteer for?
I always appreciate when people take pictures and post and it does require a significant amount of work both at the course and after to get photos available to the group.
Of course I will have mu camera there too.
MarkMark MervichParticipantAs I posted in the wrong place, things like this happen. It is a learning experience. Jeff, thanks for the credit.
I am certainly disappointed in not getting a few more tries at the course as it was fast n’ fun. 🙂
See you all at TDS.
MarkMark MervichParticipantLink to my photos. http://markm.zenfolio.com/p977135821 Enjoy
MarkMark MervichParticipantI like slaloms with long enough spacing that they entice me to try to take them full speed in 2nd.
MarkMark MervichParticipantTrying to wrap my mind around this course. I think it would be tight and slow if the scale were smaller. I may need to walk it to really get a sense of it. 🙂 Fun for sure.
MarkMark MervichParticipantEric Lam must have driven the rubber off his tires for that time :cheer:
See you all next event.
MarkMark MervichParticipantHere are my photos. Run groups 1 and 3 http://markm.zenfolio.com/p817489926
Enjoy.
MarkMark MervichParticipantAnother fun looking course design. The kink at the end of the straight will be exciting. 😉
MarkMark MervichParticipantTristen is da Man 🙂
MarkMark MervichParticipantI also am a +1 on the course length and I would take the Stick over Golden Gate Fields any day. Next time I will use my experience to adj my suspension for the unique surface.
MarkMark MervichParticipant
Have to +1 on the quality of the course and the setting. In my almost three years of autox, that was my absolute favorite course – bar none!
Cons
– New folks got a little lost in the “sea of cones”. Granted, this is going to happen to some new folks regardless, but the extra length definitely added more to memorize. The folks I was coaching made great improvements through their runs. Perhaps that was a factor of having extra seat time? Five 90-second runs equals ten normal runs….i know there are big challenges with logistics and costs in making this type of special event happen, but I want to commend the folks involved.
Great stuff designers and organizers!
Cheers,
James
+1 on the problems for new folks. I was literally pointing which way to turn. I think we should consider assigning coaches to newbes. And maybe some regulars as I DNFed 3 of my runs

MarkMark MervichParticipantMy fastest(I thought I posted this already). And this is image stabilized 🙂
